Ministry of Education signs on Developing Program Supporting Scouting and Guides Events

The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Scouts, Guides, and Student Activities (Scouts and Guides Department), and Safa Foods Company (SAOC) signed a cooperation program to support scouts and guides events and activities. The program was signed by HE Dr. Intisar bint Abdullah Al-Ambosaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry for Educational Support Programs, and Hamdoon bin Abdullah Al-Saqri, Chief Commercial Officer of Safa Foods Company, in the presence of Dr. Yaqoub Al-Nadabi, Director-General of the Directorate-General of Scouts, Guides, and Student Activities; Mohammed Al-Maskari, Director of the Scouts Department; Bader Al-Rashidi, Marketing Manager; and Issa bin Sulaiman, Senior Marketing Officer at the company, at the Ministry's General Diwan.

The agreement aims to enhance cooperation and community partnership in a way that achieves common interests in accordance with the laws and regulations in force in the Sultanate of Oman, and to contribute to providing in-kind support for student scouts and guides events and activities, and to give the company the opportunity to benefit from the services and facilities of the camps and the scouting band to revive events and occasions, and to highlight the company’s name and logo in the supported events according to the agreed mechanisms.

The Undersecretary for Educational Support Programs stated: “We value the quality support provided by the company to the programs and activities of the Directorate-General of Scouts and Guides and student activities, which embodies a distinguished model of integration of roles between the public and private sectors in supporting educational initiatives directed at students. This partnership is of particular importance in enhancing the quality of programs and events, and expanding the scope of their benefit, which contributes to consolidating positive values ​​among our students, developing their life skills, and consolidating the values ​​of citizenship and Omani identity. This cooperation reflects the commitment of private sector institutions to their social responsibility and their pivotal role in supporting national efforts aimed at preparing a conscious, proactive generation capable of contributing to the development of society and building its future.”

The CEO and Chief Commercial Officer of Al Safa Foods said: “The company pays attention to youth activities and initiatives supported by the Ministry in various fields, and the company’s cooperation is ongoing, whether in schools or directorates. This cooperation has resulted in the signing of this program, complementing the Ministry’s role in supporting activities, and due to the importance of youth in building society, and the company’s role is ongoing in supporting local communities.”
